If you’re not up to speed on the latest EverQuest happenings, the freshly released developer video for the series touches on upcoming content for EverQuest, EverQuest II, EverQuest Next and the forthcoming sand-box endeavor known as EverQuest Next Landmark. In the video, Director of Development Dave Georgeson — and the senior producer for each title in the series — rattles off a laundry list of content soon to be available (or already available) for each game.
New features include everything from new race-class combinations and contested zones to heroic instances, prestige homes and loot to name a few. Additionally, the video outlines a bit regarding the Alpha release of EQ Next Landmark and the new open-world builder poised to give the beloved Minecraft a run for its money. It’s not overly detailed, but it does offer a glimpse features’ crafting mechanics and stage design.
EverQuest Next Landmark Alpha is slated for release at the end of January for selected participants, with the beta coming in March 2014.
