We’ve all known Final Fantasy X and its direct sequel, FF X-2, were getting the HD treatment sooner or later. Now Japanese game developer Square Enix has released the first gameplay trailer of the revamped PlayStation 2 masterpiece, complete with a tentative 2013 release date.
The emotionally charged footage doesn’t feature anything other than Tidus speaking, a few sentimental cut scenes and some typical FF music, but it does offer a brief glimpse at the ramped-up HD graphics and fresh look. The remastered PS3 edition will include both installments of the franchise on a single disc, but the PS Vita remasters will be sold separately. No word on pricing yet.
