Check out our review of The Elder Scrolls Online.
After announcing The Elder Scrolls Online yesterday, Bethesda returns just in time for the weekend to tease fans with a new trailer. Nothing new is revealed here, but it does a fairly decent job of hyping the game.
We don’t have much information on Bethesda’s upcoming MMO beyond that it is being developed by ZeniMax Online Studios, a subsidiary of the same group that owns Bethesda. The 250 person studio specializes in MMOGs, and have been tasked with translating the world of Tamriel into an MMO setting. The Elder Scrolls Online will take place roughly one thousand years before the events of Skyrim, and revolve around the Daedric Prince Molag Bal’s attempts to conquer all of Tamriel. The entire continent will be available for exploration, and players will have the choice of aligning themselves with one of three factions, represented by a lion, a dragon, and a bird of prey.
Game Informer is getting first crack at the new game and you can expect more details when their June issue releases next week.
