We’ve know Dead Space 3 has been in development for a while now, but only a handful of videos have surfaced to this point. Lucky for us, Visceral Studios has just released a heart-pounding new trailer for everyone at Gamescom.
In this installment of the game, the main character, Isaac Clark, is joined by Sergeant John Carver — a second character that players can switch over to at any point with the game’s drop-in/drop-out co-op feature. Set on the frozen planet of Tau Volantis, Isaac and John are tasked with fending off the oncoming horde of Necromorphs and protecting a small colony from being overrun. In addition to the Necromorphs, it looks like players will also have to fight off Unitologists human soldiers — a new enemy for the Dead Space series.
DS3 is set to be released on February 25th of next year, so be sure to check back for more updates and trailers here on DT in the meantime. We’ll be following this one closely.
The Dead Space guys tweeted “February 5th” and I’m hoping that’s true. This installment, like the ones before it, looks outstanding. The ads always have a hook. And it always gets me. This will go down in my history as my all-time favorite series. When it drops, I’m there!
