Can’t remember how many headshots you got in that last round of team deathmatch? Not to worry — Call of Duty: Elite has your back. The popular online service was rolled out back in 2011 when Modern Warfare 3 was released, but Treyarch has been busy expanding the site in preparation for their upcoming release of Black Ops 2. Not only will you be able to check your lifetime stats and detailed info on every multiplayer match you’ve ever played, but you’ll also be able to do things like customize your weapon loadout and join new clans. And what’s more, you won’t have to pay a dime for it.
Let’s say you get wasted by some dude rocking a weapons combo that you just can’t contend with. With CoD: Elite, you can hop online, look up his gamertag in your matches history, figure out the weapons he used, copy his setup, and export it directly to your console so that you can use it next time you play. There are also similar features coming to the new and improved Zombies mode, so you’ll be able to get detailed stats on how many undead brains you’ve popped too. the current version also included several bits of content (including a few video series) that were only available to premium subscribers. The new Elite will offer those services to everybody. The DLC that came as part of the Elite subscription membership will be sold ala carte and via a Season Pass.
Black Ops 2 comes out November 13th, but you can sign up for CoD: Elite right now on their website.
