Ubisoft and Complex Media has finally revealed the last member of their “Team Ghost,” and it’s rapper Kendrick Lamar. You might recognize Lamar from his singles “The Recipe” and “Cartoons and Cereal” off of his 2012 album Good Kid in a Mad City.
Kendrick Lamar describes his role in Team Ghost as a leader. He says that he’s out there to remind his teammates to work together and accomplish the goals. He also briefly discusses his rise in the rap world and the inspiration behind his song “War is my Love” which was made for the game.
Team Ghost is made up of four celebrity gamers. Previously, Complex Media and Ubisoft revealed Minnesota Timberwolves power forward Kevin Love and Jacksonville Jaguars rookie wide receiver Justin Blackmon and reality TV wife Coco, of Ice Loves Coco.
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier hits store shelves starting on May 22 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles. PC gamers get it on June 12.
