Crytek and EA have teamed up with Hollywood director Albert Hughes (The Book of Eli) to create a new web mini-series that helps establish the dystopian setting for Crysis 3. Hughes and his brother are known for their particularly gory, visceral, and violent films like Menace 2 Society and From Hell – a style that they stuck with in this new mini-series. Part one, entitled “Hell of a Town”, is basically a four-minute fight sequence that features Prophet laying waste to a bunch of Cell soldiers. It also showcases how open and diverse the environments in Crysis 3 are, which we found to be just as exciting as all the throat cutting and gunfire in the trailer.
Crysis 3 is scheduled for release in February of 2013, so be sure to check back for more trailers in the next two months.
