In the trailer above, The Amazing Spider-Man’s executive producer, Brent Nicholas, shows off the version of Manhattan that Spider-Man will explore in Beenox Studios’ next Spider-Man game that drops at the end of the month. For the most part it’s just watching Spidey effortlessly swing around New York using his webs, but it should give you a sense of the massive scale Beenox is looking for.
But Manhattan isn’t just about webswinging and floating through the sky. There are a number of petty crimes that Peter Parker can detect stop and using his OsCorp phone that happens to come with a police scanner. In the video, Spider-Man stops some thieves on a basketball court, then helps out the police as they engage in a car chase through Manhattan. Nicholas also mentions, but doesn’t show, that players will get the ability to play as Stan Lee or Rhino in the game.
You can test out Spidey’s latest adventure for yourself at the end of the month, when The Amazing Spider-Man hits stores on June 26 for Nintendo Wii, 3DS, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
