Transformers Prime shows off a bit of gameplay in latest trailer

It’s been a little while since we’ve heard anything about Activision and Hasbro Studios’ Transformers Prime, which will be appearing on the Nintendo Wii and 3Ds. The new Nintendo title is based on the cartoon of the same name that currently airs on The Hub.

According to Hasbro, the plot of Prime will be closely tied to the animated series so that fans will have a new adventure in which to follow their favorite bots. Gamers will get to play as Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Acree, Autobot Ratchet, and Bulkhead. Of course, the big bad is Megatron who has discovered a secret weapon he plans on using against the Autobots. The humans from the show: Jack, Miko, and Raf, will make appearances in Prime as well.

In the newest trailer for Prime we get to see the Autobots and Decepticons in action with some bits of gameplay. There isn’t a lot of gameplay in the trailer, but you do get to see how the Transformers will look and feel in the game.

We still don’t have a release date for Transformers Prime beyond “Fall 2012,” but it will be available on the Nintendo Wii and 3DS systems.
