Gaijin Entertainment, the studio behind the free-to-play flight combat simulator War Thunder, recently announced that the title will be available on next-gen consoles like PlayStation 4 and the next-gen Xbox.
We heard last week from an interview with Epic Games’ Mark Rein that Microsoft and Sony will “embrace” free-to-play gaming on their upcoming consoles. Today’s announcement from Ganjin is a definite not toward a glorious F2P future. The trailer doesn’t reveal much as far as how the game looks, but if you’re really curious you can check it out on your PC: War Thunder is currently in open beta.
No word yet on a release date, but look for War Thunder to come otu shortly after the new Xbox and PS4 hit stores.
