WWE 13: The dream of the 90s wrestling is alive thanks to Mike Tyson

Not only will the upcoming game from THQ feature big “Attitude Era” names like Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, and The Rock, but it will include Mike Tyson as well. Now, if you weren’t a die-hard WWE fan back in the 90’s, you might be thinking “wait, Mike Tyson was a professional boxer, not a pro wrestler”, and you’d be right. However, while acting as a guest referee during a 1998 match between Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels, Tyson “broke character” and “punched” Michaels in the face, knocking him out. This got the WWE tons of publicity and gave wrestling a huge rise in popularity.

Sure, he never wrestled, but that’s not stopping THQ from letting you take control of Tyson’s digital likeness to dish out spinning crucifix tosses and double-leg spinebusters. The game’s roster already looks pretty stacked, but if you pre-order WWE 13 before October 30th, you can unlock and play as Iron Mike.
