Starting with the release earlier this week of Halo: Reach, the unofficial holiday gaming season has begun. The rest of the year is packed with big name titles and releases, and one of the biggest titles to be released later this year is Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, a direct sequel to last year’s Assassin’s Creed II.
The series continues the story of the Renaissance Italian assassin, Ezio Auditore, who has become a master assassin following the events in ACII. The game begins as Ezio is attacked and wounded, his villa is destroyed, and his friends are killed. Ezio is left alone to seek revenge against the Borgia’s forces that control Rome.
Recently, the game has been receiving a good deal of attention for it’s multiplayer, a first for the series, but the single player campaign is also shaping up to be a worthy addition to the series. Check out the trailer below to see some gameplay footage of Ezio, and his assassins, in action.
Every once in a while, a trailer will come along that perfectly blends the music it is using with the action it is displaying. The two become one, and the trailer is elevated. You show your friends, you watch it several times, and you even go online to find the music to add to your collection. This is not one of those times.
Eh, the game still looks good. Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood is due out on the PS3 and Xbox 360 on November 16.
