Activision loves to go big on its Call of Duty game releases. Last year, Modern Warfare 2 shipped an edition that included a working set of night vision goggles, much to the chagrin of many neighbors who were not enthused by their gamer neighbors running “sorties” at midnight. Taking it to the next level, Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops is releasing a “Prestige Edition” that will include all the trimmings of the $80 “Hardened Edition,” including the four exclusive co-op maps, and the avatar outfit. And, of course, the video and audio-equipped RC car.
