The Lord of the Rings: Tactics, the computer game company says, is the first title based upon new book based LOTR material whose rights they recently acquired.
Electronic Arts yesterday announced they’d released a new Lord of the Rings game, the first based upon their recently acquired expansion rightswhich give them access to the entire LOTR Tolkien universe. The Lord of the Rings: Tactics is available for thePlayStation Portable. EA said this tactical RPG features a “rich system of items, upgrades and skills†to help players build out their characters. Players can perform in-game actions likesetting ambushes and strategically trapping enemies while fighting battles in locations throughout the LOTR movie and book worlds. The Lord of the Rings: Tactics also features a multiplayermode, allowing up to four players to play their customized heroes against one another via WiFi. A simultaneous turn-taking system allows for what EA calls fast-paced play.
