EA Divulges New Details on EA Playground

October 23 will bring Nintendo gamers back to their youth with dodgeball, shooting marbles, catching bugs, and of course, spitballs.
Electronic Arts gave gamers a better glimpse of the upcoming title EA Playground on Wednesday, along with a solid release date and price. The game will appear in North America on October 23 in theUnited States and November 2 in Europe, retailing for $39.99. Versions of the game will be available for both Nintendo Wii and DS.
The Wii version of the game will feature seven playground games plus three activity games. Playground games include Dodgeball, Paper Racers (navigating a paper airplane through playground courses),Kicks (a combination of soccer and volleyball), Dart Shootout (shoot and dodge darts), Wall Ball (an exercise in ricochets), Slot Car Racing, and Tetherball. Activity games will include Freethrows(marbles), Bug Hunt (nabbing bugs as you explore), and Dribbling (bouncing a basketball in rhythm for points). The DS version of the game will include nine playground games, and completelyomit the activity games. Games will include Dodgeball, Hoops (basketball), Hopscotch (a rhythm game), RC Racers, Bug Hunt (collect as many butterflies as possible), Kicks (free-for-all soccer), Skate& Sketch (connect the dots on a skateboard), Spitballs (hunt down an opponent), and Trampoline (pop as many balloons in the air as possible).
