Sony Brings the Bling with Swarovski Photoframe

EA Eyes Burnout Paradise for the PS3

Electronic Arts has announced its crash-and-burn racing game Burnout Paradise for the PS3 will support the PlayStation Eye video camera and Dual Shock 3 controllers.

Electronic Arts has announced that its forthcoming racing game Burnout Paradise for the PlayStation 3 will support Sony’s new PlayStation Eye USB video camera (so online players can talk trash and mug all at the same time) and Sony’s new Dual Shock 3 controllers for the PS3, which finally bring “rumble” back to the gaming platform.

EA plans to ship Burnout Paradise for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

“This is the true beginning of next generation racing. On PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, we are delivering a game that brings brilliant graphics into HD at 60 frames per second. Burnout Paradise does something that no other Burnout game has ever done—it gives the player full control on how to play the game,” said Alex Ward, Creative Director at EA Criterion.

Burnout Paradise will be the latest installment in EA’s racing franchise, offering new features like a completely open world (Paradise City) players can explore in any way they like, EasyDrive Online Social Gaming that lets players jump in and out of games in a snap, along with traditional single player events players can trigger whenever they like.

EA says players will be able to grab snapshots of themselves using the PlayStation Eye camera, collecting mugshots of themselves and their opponents as they’re knocked off the road. On the Xbox 360 system, players will have similar functionality sing Xbox Live Vision.

Burnout Paradise is due “this winter” from EA, and hasn’t yet been rated or assigned a price.
