EA Gets Jiggy with Madden NFL 06 Soundtrack

Soundtrack for this year's game from EA's Madden NFL franchise draws upon artists from hard rock and hip hop.

Electronic Arts yesterday unveiled the in-game soundtrack for the latest installment in their popular Madden NFL franchise, Madden NFL 06. This year’s soundtrack line up, EA says, brings together some of the most popular artists from hard rock and hip hop.

The line up includes the following bands, according to a press release from EA. They are Nine Black Alps, Avenged Sevenfold, Finch, Hot Hot Heat, Fall Out Boy, The All-American Rejects, Disturbed, Godsmack, Foo Fighters, Bump J, Spider Loc, Sam Scarfo, Stat Quo, and Rev Run. Several tracks from the in-game music will be exclusive to the game.

“Every year, the release of Madden NFL Football is a major event for gamers and music fans alike,” said Steve Schnur, Worldwide Executive of Music and Music Marketing at EA. “Some of today’s most important acts were first introduced through the game. This year’s in-game soundtrack features some amazing new tracks from artists that we believe will be next year’s hottest stars.”
