Electronic Arts plans to support Nintendo’s upcoming DS handheld in some fashion, CFO Warren Jenson and CEO Larry Probst confirmed in the publisher’s quarterly investor conference call. However, EAseems much more optimistic about the prospects of Sony’s PSP, making concrete promises of significant support for the platform when it debuts later this fiscal year.
EA’s representatives that it expects to deliver four to six PSP games by the end of March 2005. Those games will ship alongside or shortly after the hardware’s launch in North America and Europe, planned for some time in the quarter ending March 31 of next year.
