Gaming portal names Resident Evil 4 for the PS2 as Game of the Year, calling it a stunning game with a high level of quality and intensity.
Editors over at GameSpot, a leading gaming portal, today announced the results of their “Best and Worst of 2005†awards. Leading the best of category was Capcom’s Resident Evil 4 for the PlayStation 2.
“Resident Evil 4 is a stunning game that anyone old enough to appreciate it really ought to experience,” said Greg Kasavin, executive editor of GameSpot. “Even though the game shipped at the very beginning of the year, scarcely any other 2005 games even began to approach its level of quality and intensity. It’s incredible just to see the game in action, but even better when you play it for yourself.”
Other titles nominated in the Game of the Year category included Battlefield 2 (PC), Civilization IV (PC), F.E.A.R. (PC), Forza Motorsport (Xbox), God of War (PS2), Guitar Hero (PS2), Guild Wars (PC), Mario Kart Nintendo DS (DS), and Ninja Garden Black (Xbox).
