GameTap Gets Exclusive Games, Videos

Broadband entertainment network announces the exclusive launch of two upcoming video games as well as the release of new streaming video content.
GameTap, a broadband entertainment network offered from TBS, today said they would be debuting two new games for their subscribers exclusively before they ship to retail. Also announced was new streaming video content and a milestone of more than 500 video games available on-demand.
The two new games available through GameTap, the broadband network said, include Sam & Max and Uru Live. In Sam & Max, co-produced by TellTale Games, players take on the roles of the game’s namesakes is they engage in their first “crime-fighting adventures in more than a decadeâ€. In Uru Live, developed by Cyan Worlds, gamers engage in a multiplayer version of the adventure series which makes use of “real-time 3D†to develop “new and ever more challenging†worlds to be engaged in.
The new streaming video announced by GameTap includes GameTap News, a weekly look at what’s been happening in the gaming world and GameTap 10 – Taste of Chaos Edition, which takes viewers on an inside look at the recent alt rock and metal Taste of Chaos tour.
GameTap costs $9.95 per month to access.
