Gamesindustry.biz has a great news article that covers more of what Bill Gates has to say about their new Xbox 360 gaming console.

“Breaking with the company’s policy of staying silent in public on the question of when the new console, widely believed to be called Xbox 360, will launch, Gates told the Society of American Business Writers and Editors that the system will ship in the current year.

Speaking about high definition displays, he asked rhetorically when the “year of high definition” will be – and followed on to say that it would be “this year, because we’re going to ship this next Xbox.”

His comment is the first public acknowledgement by the company that it plans to ship Xbox 360 before the end of the year, although it’s been generally accepted around the industry for some time that the console will arrive in October or November.”

  1. James at 5:51pm 11th May 2005 Someone posted in another article that the PS3 will feature 4 IBM processors instead of 3 that the Xbox 360 uses. Also I think the PS3 comes with Nvidia graphics if I am not mistaken.
  2. El Cabron at 2:25pm 11th May 2005 I believe that Microsoft is definetly gonna be a major driving force for next-gen consoles. However even with its public appearence on mtv you have to stop to think about what's already going in the video game industry. According to some reliable sources they say that the "xbox (360)"will not even have a nex-gen high def disk! While the "playstation 3" will likely suport blu-ray or a blu-rayp&hd-dvd hybrid which will hold around 50 gigs on dual layer while the box's currently using dvd 9 which only holds a measly 9 gigs. If playstation already beats xbox and is more popular now that it is more powerful just imagine what how it's going to treat them! However don't get me wrong the next xbox will kick major ass that's why im getting both of them good luck "sony & microsoft" hope you guys blow nintendo out of the water!!!!

P.S. If their is a way to take all nintendos franchises try to find out how thanks I would love to see "zelda" on your systems!
