Ghostbuster Game In ‘08

The movie is set to become a major game next year, bringing back the original stars.

Who ya going to call? If you want a hit game next year, it’s got to be the Ghostbusters crew, it seems.   According to a report in Variety, aGhostbusters game will be out next year for all consoles. That’s good news for fans, but it gets even better. The actors who played the characters onscreen – Harold Ramis, Bill Murray,Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson – will be reprising them in the game, with Ramis and Aykroyd, who wrote both Ghostbusters movies, also writing the story behind the game.   Set in New York in theearly ‘90s, the game will be put out by Vivendi Games.   "We noticed we did well on Scarface and were alert for new opportunities to turn iconicfilm products into games in a way that is a new manifestation of the franchise," Vivendi Games chief executive Bruce Hack said in Variety. "Ghostbusters is unquestionably among the smallnumber of movies in that class."   The game marks the first major video game deal for Sony Pictures.
