Go ahead and take Tuesday off work; all the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 news you’ll need to prepare

Love it or hate it, this Tuesday marks the release of what will almost certainly be the biggest game of the year (in terms of sales), Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. It’s a billion dollar franchise, and while this year’s version doesn’t seem to have quite the heat that the last few offerings did, there is no reason to think it won’t reach that same seven figure milestone. But with great popularity comes a great backlash.

Will this be the year when Call of Duty fails to surpass its predecessor, or is this the year that reignites the passion that has made it a generation-defining game? We’ll know soon enough.

Amidst Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's cinematic single-player campaign and addictive-as-ever multiplayer is none other than the franchise's signature Zombies mode. As is typical with previous and future iterations of the feature, players take to the task (by themselves or with friends) of ridding a particularly large, labyrinth-style map of a near-infinite horde of flesh-hungry zombies. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s second season includes a bigger zombies mode

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is getting a significant expansion for its second season. The new update brings more weapons and characters, plus a new zombie mode, to the game.

The update is scheduled to land sometime between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. PT on February 24. Rolling updates will hit Black Ops Cold War on February 23 and Warzone the next day.
