The biggest crowds at Sega’s E3 booth undoubtedly clustered around Vanquish, a third-person shooter from Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami. The sci-fi game draws inspiration from old anime and mixes in game elements like a knee-sliding “boost” mode and Max-Payne-style bullet time, which made the pace feel frenzied yet under control.
