I agree that there seems to be a bad history for movies based on video games in the past, but at the same time we must remember that Halo isn't any old video game. If there is a good director and a solid cast on the set, not to mention the help of Peter Jackson and Weta Digital, the Halo movie could be a huge hit.

Halo looks to be taken seriously on the cinema front. Microsoft wouldn't want to lose money in a killer franchise. With a good director this movie will throw down every video game movie predicessor.

Well hopefully with Peter Jackson being involved, it will turn out to be a futuristic Lord of the Rings. I could get into that for sure.

Sounds good, but I'm worried that it will overall hurt the image that bungie layed out when it released the first two Halos. I believe that this should be scraped due to the image more than likely will be hurt due to the past history of games turned movies. Watch and learn of the flop of the Movie version of Doom.

Halo the movie?? you gotta be kidding? seems like a bad idea… haven't seen any good game turn movie that leave a strong impression. Movie gets too hyped and falls short of what ppl expect. plus good luck with the character developement…

Yeah I think the new Doom movie will be a flop. I wish that Peter Jackson would direct Halo though, but at least he is a part of it which should help with production value.

Sweet!! I bet this will be a good movie.

I dont have my hopes to high on the new Doom movie coming out with The Rock as the lead role.
