Midway Ships NBA Ballers for Xbox 360, PS3

Midway has shipped its face-paced basketball title NBA Ballers: Chosen One for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Video games and sports have always seemed like a match made in heaven, and game publisher Midway continues to mine the depths of sports gaming as the NBA playoffs enter full swing, announcing it has shipped NBA Ballers: Chosen One for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game packaging features Dwight Howard of the Orlando Heat and Al Horford of the Atlanta Hawks on the packaging, and music from artists like Jay-Z, Kanye West, Usher, Busta Rhymes, T.I., and others on the game’s instrumental score. The game is the third installment of Midway’s NBA Ballers franchise.

NBA Ballers: Chosen One brings the franchise back to its basketball roots with fantastic gameplay and true, next generation graphics,” said Midway’s VP of marketing Mona Hamilton, in a statement. “We definitely wanted to listen to our NBA Ballers fan base and focus on the gameplay elements that were considered most desirable to them. As a result, we feel as if Chosen One delivers the best over-the-top basketball gaming experience available.”

In the game, players can play face-paced one-on-one and two-on-two games on exotic courts, choosing from more than 65 NBA players. Chosen One strives to offer very true-to-life likenesses of NBA players, and offers new combination and super-move systems (including new “Act a Fool” combos) to keep the action ever-changing and challenging. Players can “Create a Baller” and participate in the Chosen One tournament, and tap “Shut’em Down” moves that put their players over the top. Players can take their own characters online to compete against other players, and new “action movie” camera styles highlight the game’s key moves.

NBA Ballers: Chosen One should be available throughout the U.S. at a suggested price of $59.99.
