MySims Comes to PC with More Features

Like a prodigal son, EA's formerly Wii-exclusive Sims spin off will make its way back to PC, and get an online mode for sharing creations with others.

When the cartoonishly stylized MySims game launched for Wii back in 2007, it looked like EA had simplified its staple Sims games for a younger Wii audience. But as it turns out, the popularity of the new version has led the company to port it back to the brand’s original platform, PC. EA announced on Monday that MySims would make it to PC along with a few extra features catering to the different system.

Along with the story-based elements that made MySims a hit on Wii, the PC version will get an online mode that allows players to share user-generated content with up to seven different players simultaneously. For instance, players can create buildings or objects for their Sims to use, then swap them with others like virtual trading cards. They’ll also have access to a range of other online options, like playing Tag or Hide-and-Seek.

The game will ship in Asia and Europe on October 24, then in North America on October 27. Pricing has not yet been announced.
