Neverwinter Nights 2 Web Site Launches

Atari and video game developer Obsidian Entertainment open up an official Web site to promote the upcoming release of the Neverwinter Nights sequel.

Atari and video game developer Obsidian Entertainment today unveiled the official Web site for their upcoming Neverwinter Nights 2 computer role playing game. The game, which is the sequel to the wildly successful Neverwinter Nights title set in the Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms universe, is set for a September 2006 release.

The Neverwinter Nights 2 Web site, said the two companies, will offer a wide array of information related to the upcoming game, including a featured monster of the week; new screenshots, gameplay movies, trailers and video interviews; discussion forums and community involvement from the Obsidian Entertainment development team; and regular news and information updates.

The Forgotten Realms universe was created by Wizards of the Coast, a subsidiary of Hasbro.

“NWN2.com has been set up as the first port of call for all fans of Neverwinter Nights to check out a ton of regularly updated and new character and game information for Neverwinter Nights 2,” said Feargus Urquhart, CEO of Obsidian Entertainment, in a statement. “Also, the lively NWN2 forums have been going strong for more than a year and a half, so get involved and stay in touch.”
