I know a lot of people that are wanting to get a PS3 this Christmas now that the price is down to $399 and you get 5 Blu-Ray movies. That's a pretty sweet deal.

They better have doubled compared to last month's sales. It's a standard trend for US console sales to double in November.

Here are the PS2 from 2002 through 2006.
2002: 500k (Oct), 1.3m (Nov)
2003: 300k (Oct), 850k (Nov)
2004: 330k (Oct), 690k (Nov)
2005: 240k (Oct), 660k (Nov)

Sony needs to triple their sales numbers not double them. Wii will sell over a million units in November and the 360 should sell 720,000 units. Selling 240,000 PS3s will not be much of a dent against those numbers.
