Nyko Ships PSP to TV Viewing Device

Nyko Technologies, a maker of peripherals for devices like the PSP and iPod, yesterday began shipping a PSP add-on which lets gamers view their UMD movies and games on their home television screen. The new Play on TV Adapter is priced at $79.99 and available now.

The Nyko Play on TV Adapter, said the company, snaps onto the Sony PSP and uses CCD sensor technology to view the image on the portable gaming device’s screen. It then sends what it sees to a television screen via included RCA cables. The unit also includes audio output directly from the PSP to the television so users can enjoy more of a stereo sound.

“Our fans told us they wanted to experience PSP games and UMD movies on their TV’s, expanding the uses of their content.” said Susan Corben, vice president of marketing, Nyko Technologies, in a statement. “One step ahead at Nyko, we anticipated this request and solved the problem by developing the Play on TV Adapter.”

Here’s how much PlayStation’s PS1 and PSP games might cost
Nina kicking Kazuya in Tekken 2.

Some of Sony's upcoming PlayStation 1 and PSP titles started appearing on the Asian PlayStation Store. Currently, games like Ape Escape, Mr. Driller, and Tekken 2 are exclusively available on the Hong Kong digital marketplace. While none of these are up for grabs on the Western PlayStation Store, we do have something to go off of on how much they may cost when they do become purchasable.

Of the retro games currently released, the prices run from HK$38 to HK$78. A quick monetary conversion shows that when the titles are brought over to the U.S. PlayStation Store they'll most likely run from $5 to $10. There's currently no indication of what dictates the variation in the cost of each game.

WWE 2K22 is my new favorite TV show
The Rock and John Cena face off in WWE 2K22.

I began watching wrestling in earnest in 2014. I was in the deepest depression of my life when a friend invited me over to watch WrestleMania 30. That just happened to be the year that WWE told one of media’s greatest underdog stories, as pipsqueak Daniel Bryan (or Bryan Danielson, as you may know him now) overcame impossible odds to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. It was an impactful moment -- one that gave me the confidence I needed to start the long climb out of a deep hole.

Fortnite finally comes back to Apple devices via GeForce Now
Spider-Man in Fortnite.

Nvidia announced today that it's bringing Fortnite back to Apple platforms with an open beta on Android and iOS devices through its cloud gaming service, Nvidia GeForce Now. This limited-time testing will take place on the Nvidia GeForce Now Android app and the iOS Safari web browser. Note that it's the Apple web browser, not an app.

GeForce Now members can sign up for the open beta before it starts next week. However, there's limited space available, so everyone who signs up won't necessarily receive an invite. Those who want to participate but don't yet have a Nvidia GeForce Now account can sign up for free.
