New Comic Book Creator software from Planetwide Games allows gamers to capture favorite computer game moments and bring them into a self-published comic book.

Ever wanted to make your favorite computer game adventures and travels into a comic book so you can relive that magic over and over again? You may now be able to do so via an announcement from Planetwide Games about their new Comic Book Creator self publishing comic software.

Comic Book Creator, which is being shown off this week at the San Diego Comic-Con International 2005, allows gamers to take screenshots from inside their favorite computer games. These images, according to information on the company’s Website, can have text dragged-and-dropped into them via various comic book templates. Besides the text, effects and balloons can be added. The final product can be saved as a PDF file and printed.

The comic publishing software should be available this fall at retail for $29.95 per copy and there will also be a trial offer version.

“Gamers can now create a professional-looking, high-quality comic book to immortalize an important battle scene or dramatic encouter within their game play,” said Plantwide Games President Kevin Donovan. “Comic Book Creator lets gamers add in text bubbles to bring conversation to the encounter, as well as classic comic book features, like POWerful word graphics that over emphasize a game action. It’s a very personal remembrance of time spent online that you can have sent to your printer/copier and then share with friends in the offline world.”
