Both Sony and Microsoft will cut the prices of their game consoles in the UK. No word yet on when the U.S. price cut will happen.
“The PlayStation 2 and Xbox are set for European price cuts in the coming days, with Sony to cut its price to UKP 104.99 this week while sources in Germany indicate that Microsoft is to announce a UKP 99.99 price this afternoon.
Although it will be announced first, in a move designed to spoil the effect of Sony’s cut to some extent, the Microsoft price drop is not expected to take effect across Europe until August 27th.”
According to Gamesindustry.biz, neither company has officially announced the pricecuts despite multiple reports floating around. We expect them to announce U.S. price cuts around the same time though.
