Pre-conference whisperings have the former Beatle appearing to show off the new Beatles Rock Band.

While we sit in the green-soaked Galen Theater waiting for Microsoft’s press conference to begin, it’s worth noting that none other than Sir Paul McCartney is rumored to be showing up to demonstrate the new Beatles edition of Rock Band. We heard it whispered about last night, further suspected it when Microsoft bumped the conference to five minutes earlier for a “special surprise,” and now other insiders in the audience here are all but confirming it.

First, attending E3. Now, seeing Paul McCartney live? Are two childhood dreams about to come true in one trip for this humble writer? We shall see.
