Sims 3 Next Year

Game maker Electronics Arts announces that it will release the next version of the game in 2009.

It’s one of the best-selling video games ever, with almost 100 million sold. The Sims has become a cultural icon. Now, after three years of planning, ElectronicArts has announced that The Sims 3 will go on sale next year. According to the company, users will be able to fully explore the neighborhood, with unlimited customization for characters, who canbe given unique personalities through a combination of traits. EA says everything can be customized, from houses to neighborhoods. "In The Sims 3, Sims can go beyond the boundaries of their homelot, and immerse themselves in an open, living neighbourhood, interacting with other Sims using our new deeper personality system," said Rod Humble, head of The Sims Studio. "It is thistype of open-ended gameplay that inspires endless creative possibilities. In addition the new goals and rewards systems will give players of all kinds from core gamers to storytellers the ability toenjoy long-term gameplay."
