WoW is coming out with a paid expansion.

2nd paragraph, he mentions:
“I’m very happy to announce that we'll have the first public showing of the expansion for World of Warcraft at BlizzCon.”

WoW is such a better game than EQ, but the server latency is horrendous at times.

10 times EQ players had to ante up to continue in the Game /golfclap and the spin off EQ2 which is on its 3rd expansion and it has not been out over a year.

Meanwhile, WoW has more customers and owns the MMO market with free updates and no sign of a paid expansion – don't quote me , quote Chris Kramer SOE's Director of Corporate Communications who say in a New York Times interview “”World of Warcraft is completely owning the online game space right now,”
