Who cares about price. Cell processing is nuts do a google on the technology. you basically have dedicated processors for each aspect ie. Geometry, Physics and so on… I'm a PC gamer and already want to dump it for a PS3. Sony,IBM and Toshiba well forget sony but the latter both rock. Not to mention the thing is running Nvidia graphics unlike the 360s ATI hardware. I think the fact IBM worked on this is a partial reason for Apple moving to Intell now (just a random thaught). can you say bubye Xbox……..I think Soooo!!!! :/syn sucks up his drool.

i saw both the configuration of PS3 and XBox360 and i say that PS3 is better, and i can bet that PS3 will rule the Next GEN.

Will we be able to play ps3 games on pc monitor,
because xbox 360 can play them. that is the only difference for me because both consoles will have great in game graphics. if ps3 can not be played on pc monitor then i am for xbox360 because hdtv are way expensive where i come from (croatia)

The XBox games are really crappy.. although there are “some” good games (can only count them with my fingers).. hell, Sony always bring a good game out in the market, even during the time of the PS1…. then PS2, with the PS3, the best has just become better..

I'm a Xbox owner, gotta admit it disappointed me mostly about games. A consistent part of those are PC crappy portings you'r going to pay as console-genuine. Moreover, even genuine games have been ruined down on Xbox, to name one Nitro Kart. I'm just thinking my next console will be a PSX 3. No matter about claims on this or that HW, to games quality and price is what counts. And Sony rules, I've no doubt.

hey the memrery should be very great 700mhz tha would be great if the ps2 memmory card was that hhigh than i wouldnt have to delete as often.But main consern is will it have online gameing like the ps2 does will there be vynil like its older brothers the ps and ps2.the xbox360 is totally weak in my opinon

I like XBOX & PLAYSTATION infact there's no platform i hate. I think it will only be safe to judge the best console when they're all out.

Pesonally Playstation 3 is really looking the best at the moment specs wise, but let's not forget people, that consoles are all about the games. I want to see some great games come out of all this raging competion, Otherwise it's all for nothing. Weather E3 vids are rendered i dont know, but i do know that if they were the REAL graphics, coupled with awsome gameplay what else would be more exciting on any cosole?

Um my question is this, if its backwards compadible, and you wanted to use files from your ps2 memory card, would you be able to do that? Cuz i havent seen or heard anything reguarding that.

I must say, I am not a Sony fan in the least and I love my XBox. I am though very impressed with the specs of the PS3 and am looking forward to it's "released" specs. I doubt either system will be released with the same specs we've read over the last couple of days.

The advantage that I see MS having today is that they will be releasing the 360 first. This coupled with the fact that this is not just a GAMING console could really help them.

Sony, however, does have the "wait and see" advantage of seeing exactly what happens with the 360 release and adjusting specs/features on the fly.

All I know is it's going to be a fun 2006!!

I am with Jason on this, the Xbox 360 says WiFi ready, which means you will have to pay money for a stupid dongle to use.

Also based on the PS3 specs, it has a detachable HDD slot, so that could mean an itegrated hard drive?

Where do you see that the Xbox 360 has built-in WiFi? From what I've read, it's WiFi ready – meaning you can hook up a 802.11b adapter to it. However, that costs extra.

As I see it, PS3 is going to have more power for physics calculations and Blu-Ray. Otherwise the consoles are fairly evenly matched (even in transistor count). Actually, Xbox 360:s three symmetrical cores might be better for AI and gameplay (?) processing.

The number of controllers tells you nothing, it should be relatively easy to connect 20 wireless controllers. I would expect Microsoft to bump up some specs, like the number of controllers, 1080 p support (easy with HDMI/DVI, and the ATI chip should be ready for it), and possibly some megahertz more to the graphics processor.

It seems to me that the graphics side of PS3 wasn't as it was originally imagined, otherwise I don't really understand why you would put two different very fast memory interfaces in it. When did NVidia come aboard? (Also dual HDMI is easy to do when dual outputs are in most graphics cards. Don't expect any good usage for it.)

Even Microsofts one teraflops figure was overhyped, and now Sony comes with two teraflops. In real world, both should fall far, far behind that figure. It may end up being very difficult to recognize the differences in X360 and PS3 games.

Sony should have enough time to redesign their controller if people complain too much about it. Looks strange, but for me PS2 controller is uncomfortable too.

Xbox360 does have integrated WiFi actually. Either way, this is by far the most impressed i've been with the Playstation line! Hope it's cheaper than building a new computer!

We'll just have to see i guess. Xbox360 uses 3x 3.2ghz cpu's so i wouldnt necesarily say ps3's hardware is better and costs more. Also xbox360 will be using an ATI GPU, ps3 is Nvidia based, and my beleif is that right now ATI's hardware is a little more superior, possibly bumping costs up more.

I'd have to agree with Ian. The feature spec is very impressive, but there is no way that's going to come cheap.

I suppose it depends on how much your willing to pay for features you're probably never going to use.

The Playstation 3 actually impresses me more than the Xbox 360, the specs are better, and I like the design better.

What I have to wonder is whether the Xbox 360 will cost considerably less since it uses less hardware, I.E. no integrated WiFi, only supports 4 controllers, and lower resolution capabilities than the PS3.
