Absolutely nothing. with the 3ds right around the corner ( which is a TOTALLY NEW SYSTEM ) I wouldn't be surprised to see psp have to update AGAIN. when I bought the go I expected apps similar to an Ipod touch. They should have marketed it as a standout system that had the ability to play psp games to compete with the touch.Not other hand helds. It was also released four years after the 1000. Come on Japan we want what you got. NEW TECHNOLOGY. Gps, apps, etc. I love Sony and have every system they made but after the go ( which I traded for a ds lite and couldn't be happier) being 2009's big showcase.In 2011 I'm strongly considering changing to the 3ds. I gave up on Nintendo after Gamecube, but with the Ps3 being a 500 dollar media player ( yeah I bought it early on ) and the go being worst than a ds… Had to feel it to believe it, Think I'm gonna switch in "11 and enjoy a remade, fully 3d Snake Eater on the 3ds. It's been fun Sony but it appears all good things to come to an end…

hay i reckon they should make a system called psp go X it should have the best wifi really quick to download games 5-10 minutes or shorter if possible make 3 diffrent gb like 20 30 and 40 or even higher they should cost $200 $350 for the 40gb one if you like go to the playstation store copy what i said and see if they make it

I just viewed the Apple i-Pad and it's more expensive then the "Go" 100 bucks more expensive. I'm not a big fan of Apple products but the PSP Go Needs some work. I Believe it has to stay on the same price but upgrade allot. The Memory needs to be at least 32 gigs. A way to transfer owned UMD drives to the Go and they need to offer more colors. As for the price drop, They need to offer that to the first PSP Go version, around 70-100 bucks less should do it. If the PSP Go was 400 but it has a whopping memory of 64 gigs, came with 3 already downloaded games and 3 free games online with a way to transfer UMD drives to PSP go, In my eyes, Thats a well 400 bucks well spent.

i agree with you. a converter would make alot more ppl want to buy the go. i dont want to get one bc i import a game from japan called bleach heat the soul and as far as i know the go doesnt have that for download so id be pretty screwed

What I think sony should do is:
1) Add a UMD drive but keep the 16 GB so people can share their games with friends and can choose to download, use UMD, or both for games
2) Cut the price so the total including tax would be 200 dollars
3) If they keep the 250 dollar value, include ten codes for ten different games, each one the pick of your choice

As for point #1, Twenty- seven of my friends all own PSP 3000s, and if Sony doesn't include a UMD, then i can't play my friends games on my future PSP GO

drop the 3000 and make a go that has umd
put in the option of having apps
create trading in umds into digital games at like walmart or gamestop
create trade in digital games (like gamestop does except wwith digital games)

I think Sony needs to develope some some type of umd converter on your PC or MAC using the codes off the box. After each conversion that code becomes invalid and the digital copy received by the consumer would be the same as if they bought it from the store. Plus it needs a price cut even if its only $30.

im sorry to say but sony would never put a new sony psp go for $100 the lowest i think would be probably $200 plus tax would be $220 it would attract many more customers much better than $250 plus tax would be $275 its about $55 less but hell $250 is to much especially in the economy were in i wish i could save $55 on any thing

I say the most important thing to get people to buy your PSP Go (especially me) is a way to redeem our games from UMD to the PSP GO. I would have to spend over 200 hundred dollars to get them all back add the 250 for the system and im at about 500 with taxes. That is INSANE for a handheld system. A price drop of even 30 dollars, a few extra colours (red especially) and the extra downloadable game is a nice touch especially since LBP is there although i would like GT5.
I think Sony should get rid of the suits in marketing and hire people who have a idea of what the avg consumer would want and do some research before you release things.
I have a Iphone and although i love all the apps on it, gaming is just not the same as a PSP. I personally think sony should have a system setup at specific stores where you drop off games and get a voucher in return. This would make customer happy and sony would get rid of people selling these games used. Now if only they had a location like this…..HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM…. :0 I got it the SONY STORE. They would even get people buying the PSP go from there too…. OMG I'm a genious. Nope just an average consumer with a higher education and a passion for video games

the ipad is stupid, its simply an obese itouch, the “web browsing” is pathetic, no way anyone can play a real game on that stupid pad. the name is hilarious. the pspgo is actually quite nice, i own 2 and not having to buy duplicates of games or paying tax has saved me so much money already, it all mainly depends on what you need to decide between the n1000 (go) and the 3000 (slim). the probably should release the standard psp with bluetooth as well

put a UMD-to-sony stick game converter @ every sony store to appease psp owners, and so new adopters can still buy games they like on umd and get them in the pspgo.

A price cut as suggested would be a nice touch too. Im sure there are other balloons sony could throw around too

How about if you already own a UMD, to be able to rip it to the PSP Go on the fly. It might take a while, but some people might like that instead of carrying around a ton of discs.

Here's how they can make the PSPgo sell without reconfiguring the hardware:

1) Lower the price to $200
2) Allow users to send in ALL of their UMDs to Sony and get a code for downloading the game to their PSPgo (this does not need to be a permanent offer, maybe for just a year following the "relaunch").
3) Discount PSPgo titles at minimum $5 below the MSRP of the UMD, and preferably $10 (since Sony doesn't have to pay for the costs of production anyway, and gamers lose the resale value).
4) Increase the internal memory to 32 GB, or provide an extra 16 GB card, so gamers can actually hold all their stuff on there, music and games.
5) Update the firmware so it's possible to do things on the system while downloading a game.

That's all you need to do Sony. You have a great piece of hardware already, just stop making stupid decisions.

I think they should have slowed down with the digital thing. add a umd reader along with the internal hardrive, then people will start to download slowly and in a few years make a version with only the hardrive. then i would pay 250$ considering ive got 16 games im not going to just throw them away. they probably wont make a way to convert your UMDs to digital because hackers would be all over that.

I already ordered one after playing a friends here in Iraq. UMDs have allways been the turn off for the PSP
and the thing feels so much lighter and compact, and now without all gay UMDs its perfect for the soldier

Folks, its all about the apps. No one cares what the IPod Touch looks like. People buy it because of the great selection of quality low priced apps they can get for it. If Sony can't attract more developers to create quality apps (that can be downloaded to the PSP) at a price comparable with the App Store, they are wasting their time.

It was a very poor pricing strategy on Sony's part. For $50 more you are better off buying a PS3 or a 360. And compared to the PSP it seemed somewhat limited. They should have priced the Go at $150 and threw in a free game.

I will buy a psp go either way. However, I am really pissed at the $250.00 fee for the console. I Would say they should lower it to the price of the psp-3000. Sony, your competitors know prie drops, you should too! The convience of not having umd's, the fact that I have never owned the psp before, and the save feature is what is ppulling me in. Oh and bluetooth to play with friends next to you and various other things.

i'm going to buy it if they do have a price cut. i would especially buy it if they had a variety of colors. maybe i would buy more than one there. and buy the way the ipad looks like a piece of crap. seriously. it looks like an oversized ipod touch with 3g and it cannot fit your pocket. and it looks like crap. so i'm just saying that no one should buy an ipad. just look at the thing. it's almost the same as an ipod touch.
