Newest title in the pro basketball franchise offers a number of interesting features including a cinematic story mode which follows a star rookie through his first season.
Sony today said that NBA ’06 was now available in retail outlets across North America. This latest edition of the video game basketball franchise is available exclusively for the Playstation 2 and rated E for Everyone.
NBA ’06 offers a number of different gaming features which Sony feels will make it the most compelling basketball game yet. These include a cinematic story mode which follows the life of a star rookie on and off the court from NBA Draft Night to The Finals, low post game play, tandem animation technology, sixteen mini games and new audio which delivers a “first person experience through third-person gameplayâ€.
“NBA ’06 demonstrates our team’s creativity and innovation to deliver a standout game that will not only attract basketball gaming fans, but also fans outside of the sports realm,” said Sharon Shapiro, senior director, promotions and sports product marketing, Sony Computer Entertainment America, in a statement. “We’re excited to create NBA ’06 from the ground up with new game design, features, and animations. On top of that, introducing a unique, cinematic-style mode such as ‘The Life’ brings another dimension for gaming fans to truly experience life through the eyes of an NBA player.”
