Ramayana has been told not only in Sanskrit but in numerous Indian vernacular languages (Tamil, Telegu, Punjabi, Hindi, etc.) not to mention Thai, Cambodian, Balinese, even Chinese and Tibetan versions. The Hindu-right is always trying to impose conformity, but true eternal Hindu tradition has always been multivalent. Let the Rama's glory be told again and again in a 1000 ways so as to suit the gunas and aptitudes of all beings. Any lips that say “Rama” will never stain the moon.
