Wow Jessica what’s with the anger? Fact is that the gaming industry is a multi billion dollar industry that produces movie quality trailers and sinks big money into marketing and promotions. This wouldn’t be the case if their consumer base didn’t span over a fairly diverse demographic. That is to say, people who don’t have to ask mommy to buy the next major title.

This isn’t too shocking. You figure kids who were ten and playing some of the first video games would have been doing so in the 70′s – Pong came out in 1972, we’re in 2011: this means that a ten year-old playing Pong would be almost fifty today. When the NES hit the shelves in 1985, kids who got that for a birthday present would have been five or six are now in their 30′s.
