Entitled to you changing one number in your code to raise the level cap? Entitled? How do you feel you're entitled to scraping people's wallets for $5 just to do that? No thanks. I'll stick to level 50.

How can you plan, design and build a game with level increase in mind, and then not plan, design and build it?...
This whole discussion is pathetic. Someone at Gearbox is responsible for this fatal blunder, and honestly, heads should roll.

I am one of the diehard treasurehunters who enrolled with BL, and loved the game to bits. Still do. In part, due to its excellent DLC and level cap evolvement.

Making a BL2, with built in trophy teaser, and then not have any kind of idea how to implement level evolvement is just plain stupid. Calling the kettle black.

Gearbox has taken a fantastic franchise, and broken it. I bought the game and season pass, beleiving my gaming heaven was at hand. Instead I got a game ripe with promise, that it cannot deliver. I am extremely disapointed. I for one will not be buying any more of the BL2 franchise, as the game, in my opinion, is fundamentally broken.

Sob... :(

He just said Borderlands 2 was the biggest selling game in the GOTY ranks, which means a LOT of money these days. Fans are completely dedicated. DLCs have mostly been uninventive. So what if you have to work a little for it? He's even overstating the amount of work that it takes to raise the level cap. Making the whole game again my ass.
Incidently, individual modders for Skyrim have made perfectly functioning level cap increases. In the end it's just numbers work and a bit of tailoring. If you have to spend a little of that incredible amount of money you earned, so be it, and stop whining about it and trying to pull back now that you see you have to do something for it.

I think the lasting appeal of this game is undeniable. I've played the S#*! out of this game, and few others. What is concerning is that they knew there was an expectation of a level cap increase. They themselves acknowledged it with the achievement level 50 for now....Really, I don't care if my guy hits level 60 or 70, I want more skill points (like the other replier said. There's still tons of guns, I haven't picked up, and there's still more guns they could make (gun classes, different seraphs and legendaries) and the idea of having two decked out skills trees and change in the third is amazing. That's why I keep coming back and looking at these articles, and giving them time to pull it all together.
The other replier is also right, saying that the gamers simply "expect the increase, and not having to pay for it" is bull%^&*. That was the reason for buying the season pass. Don't be upset now that you have to put in more work than you expected and want compensation now. We already paid you upfront. However, I'd still throw down ten bucks if they did some crazy stuff with the new release, haha.

Gearbox, you have to win me back. Plain and simple. You lost my faith, with this game and with that god awful Aliens game. I bought the season pass and 2 copies of this game, one for me and one for my brother. More often than not, he can't even play online because he has no DLC, like at all. Then after months of no level cap, after I got every character to level 50. What do I do now? Play through your DLC by myself, or worse with randoms who ninja loot and whine about how they want you to dupe all your items for them? I'd rather play Battlefield 3, Halo 4, or Dead Space 3. At this point you've dropped off the radar. Now convince me that I should go back to this game.

“Meanwhile we have a customer who believes they’re already entitled to it and doesn’t even want to pay for it”

Randy I love you, and Gearbox but we've all dropped a hundred bucks on your game w/DLC. You said a level cap was coming. I don't believe I'm entitled to anything but what you said was coming for what I've already paid, period. Given the popularity of the level cap increase in Borderlands I can't fathom why this wasn't planned for. This is said with the utmost respect, Gearbox is one of the few developers who's word and products carry any weight with me any more. Get it done.

Borderlands 2 is one of my all time favorite games. If a level cap increase puts the game in a position to run poorly or in some cases not all, I would be more than satisfied with some new characters. Or possibly a way to acquire more skill points. Either option would work for me. Thank you, for not sacrificing quality and making a terrific game.
