Win a copy of Borderlands 2 for PS3, Xbox 360, or PC!

Borderlands 2If you’ve been online since Tuesday on an Xbox 360, PS3, or while connected to Steam, you probably already know that Borderlands 2 was released, because you may have friends online playing it right now. They are probably enjoying it too. A lot.  They are taunting you with their new gaming acquisition. They are mocking you, challenging you to jump online and join them in what is shaping up to be one of the biggest hits of the year.

Don’t let them get away with that.

If you are a frequent reader of DT’s gaming coverage, than you probably know that we liked the game a whole bunch. You can check out our review here where we gave it a 9.5, something we don’t do too often. In fact, we liked it so much that we got a hold of five copies to give away.

We have two copies of the game on PS3, two on Xbox 360, and one Steam key for PC to give away, so there will be five winners in all. For your chance to win, all you have to do is answer a simple question: WHAT is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow!

That’s a joke, by the way. Please don’t answer that. Or do answer it with your platform preference, but be certain your answer is correct and be sure to show your work.

Now, for a chance to win, simply let us know what your favorite online game of all time is and why, then be sure to include your platform preference – if you don’t let us know your platform of preference, we can’t determine which group to enter you with. Choosing more than one platform is fine, but you can only win once.

The contest will end Tuesday, September 25 at noon PST, so enter now.

And good luck!

Update: THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT ENTERED, WE HAVE SELECTED FIVE WINNERS!  The winner should have recently received an email notifying them of their win.  Thanks to everyone who posted, check back later this week for our next contest, when we give away a copy of Madden 13 for the PS3!

Once the winners have confirmed they received the notification, and following their ok, we will post the names of the winners.

Congrats to the winners: Patrick Schjoett and the poster Sloridin.  The other three winners wished to remain anonymous.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 coming to Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S
Skater in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is coming to three new platforms this year. A next-gen version of the game will land on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 in March, while a Switch version is coming later this year.

The game is a remake of the first two games in the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series. When it originally launched on last-gen consoles last September, Activision didn't reveal any plans to bring the game to new consoles or give it a next-gen upgrade, making today's announcement a welcome surprise.

Borderlands 3 feels like more of the same, but that’s a good thing
leaked borderlands 2 dlc to bridge 3

There's a certain moment when playing a Borderlands game where it clicks, when you finally see why so many hold the series in such high regard. What first seems like a mindless shooter soon becomes an exhilarating stream of enemies along with rewarding and randomized loot. So far, Borderlands 3 is proving to be the same satisfying loot shooter as its predecessor, but small changes and neat additions make for a smoother experience while keeping the charm the series has always been known for.

After not having played a Borderlands game in some time, I had that "click" moment when I played a hands-on demo of Borderlands 3 at E3 2019. It was shortly after I got the hang of the new slide mechanic and landed two snazzy headshots with my shotgun. It felt smoother than ever, and the character models and environments were sharper, but nothing stood out as game changing. You get your waypoint, you mow down enemies as you follow the path, and you defeat the boss at the end. It's your standard Borderlands fare. It's still just as fun, but nothing revolutionary.
It's more Borderlands and that's okay

Gearbox Software is set to launch Borderlands 3 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and on the PC as a timed exclusive for the Epic Games Store, on September 13, but the developer will first reportedly roll out a free Borderlands 2 DLC on June 9 to bridge the gap between the two games.
