Xbox 360 Goes Dolby Digital

The next generation video game system will fully support Dolby Digital surround sound for both movies and video games.

Microsoft and Dolby Laboratories announced yesterday that the upcoming Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system will fully support Dolby Digital surround for both movies and games. It will feature both interactive Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound for game play as well as Dolby Digital decoding for video playback.
