Xbox 360 To Be Priced Around $300

Microsoft corporate vice president J Allard has confirmed that their new console will be priced around $300. There could be multiple product offerings however.

“Speaking to TheStreet.com, Allard said that he was “not sure” about the final price point, with a decision on pricing still “probably about two months away” – but confirmed that the price would “be in the neighbourhood” of the $300 price tag of Xbox at launch.”

Yesterday we reported that Sony would likely be pricing their Playstation 3 console in the same price range, right around $300 dollars. Allard refused to give a launch date for the Xbox 360.

James at 12:13pm 27th May 2005 The $300 number definately makes more sense to me. I am glad to see that the new consoles will be priced the same as the old ones.
