Xbox Consoles in Short Supply

Microsoft says that an unexplained increase in demand for their Xbox gaming console is putting it in short supply at retailers.

“The world’s largest software maker, which launched the Xbox in 2001 to rival Sony Corp.’s PlayStation consoles, said that “consumer demand is exceeding supply right now… we are working withpartners to rectify the situation.”

“We’re working really hard to satiate (consumers’) needs,” a Microsoft spokeswoman said. “

With the expected announce of Microsoft’s new gaming console supposedly to be named Xbox 360, at this years E3 show, perhaps Microsoft is ramping down production of their current gaming system in favor of the new 360.
