Xbox Live Arcade Gets Retro Games

Microsoft is bringing 1980s' retro console games to Xbox 360 Live Arcade, starting with the slimy green classic Frogger.

The Xbox 360 may be a preferred platform for first-person shooters, combat simulations, and other hard-code “serious” gaming, but >ribbit!< that doesn’t mean the high-end next-generation console can’t >ribbit!< be any fun! Microsoft is introducing retro-style 1980s arcade games to its online Xbox Live Arcade service, beginning today with a version of the coin-op classic Frogger distributed by Konami.

Microsoft plans to offer a new game every Wednesday for five weeks, running July 13 through August 9
