Released initially in 2010 for Xbox 360 via Xbox Live Arcade, Pinball FX2 is finally making its way over to the Xbox One. Developer Zen Studios announced on its blog that the game will be available as a free download starting July 31, and it comes with the Sorcerer’s Lair table to get you started. Mel Kirk, VP of Publishing at Zen, said “with the release of Pinball FX2 on Xbox One, we have closed the loop and can now offer our fans a complete virtual pinball experience, regardless of system of preference.”

This reworked version of Pinball FX2 promises “1080p graphics at 60 frames per second, worldwide tournaments, new achievements, and a slick new menu interface.” The series is known for its collaborations with popular franchises, making themed pinball tables their specialty. When the game launches, some of the most well known tables will be available for download on day one, including Star Wars Pinball tables, Marvel Pinball tables, and Plants vs. Zombies Pinball. Zen Studios also makes mention of new tables on the horizon, including the previously announced Walking Dead tie-in, based on the Telltale Games series.

While the game is a free download, the tables do come at a cost. Single table pricing ranges between $2.49 and $2.99, while table packs can be purchased for $9.99 on the Xbox Games Store.

Best Stratagems in Helldivers 2
Four soldiers near an airstrike in Helldivers 2.

There are a lot of factors to consider when designing your perfect build in Helldivers 2. I don't need to explain the importance of things like choosing the best weapon, but other parts of your loadout play just as big a role when your boots hit the ground.

While Boosters are more passive bonuses, Stratagems come in all shapes and sizes that can make it not only overwhelming to pick from, but even harder to know which ones are the most effective. Your initial few are easy to come to grips with, but as you level up and unlock more, you will need to make sure you're bringing the best of the best to survive the more challenging missions. Here are the best Stratagems that will make Super Earth proud.

Helldivers 2 is an unexpected standout in a crowded February
A scene from Helldiver 2's opening cutscene.

It's only February and 2024 has already another unexpected hit. Helldivers 2 revels in the confidence of knowing exactly what it's doing, offering up one of the most approachable extraction shooters yet.

The extraction shooter is an emerging subgenre of games focused on getting players to drop into an intense mission, complete objectives, obtain loot, and extract without fighting or dying too much. Helldivers 2 takes that formula and redefines it by applying its basics to a more traditional mission-based sci-fi shooter that feels one license deal away from being a direct adaptation of Starship Troopers.

WWE 2K24 makes one small change that goes a very long way
Cody Rhodes stands on a ramp in WWE 2K24.

(Editor's Note: The night before our WWE 2K24 preview event, WWE co-founder Vince McMahon resigned from his executive chairman role at TKO amid sex trafficking allegations. Ahead of the event, Digital Trends reached out to 2K Games to ask if references to Vince McMahon and any other parties implicated in the lawsuit would be removed from the game. We were directed to WWE's PR team, which has yet to respond.

The WWE 2K series has been living out a comeback story for the past two years. After hitting rock bottom in 2019, 2K Games took the time and effort to rehabilitate the series instead of rushing into another entry with injuries. That paid off in its 2022 and 2023 installments, reestablishing the series as the king of the ring – especially after fighting off competition from the middling AEW: Fight Forever.
