Great unit! Great software and ease of use but as a Real Estate Agent this product lacks a very important feature I need. Nuvi 350 would not allow me to enter several destination points prior to leaving the house. For example if I have out of town buyers who want to see 10 homes on Saturday and I want to route myself from house to house, this the Garmin 350 would make me enter each address from house to house. Also didn’t like having to enter my city each time I enter an address. I took it back and bought the TOMTOM GO 910 which is much bigger than the sleek Nuvi 350 but has features I need and remembers addresses, cities and streets previously entered. Also has a home docking station for the computer which allows doing everything on a simulated TOMTOM right on the computer screen using a USB port.

I have a Nuvi 200, and have used the 350 as well. The Nuvi line is easy to use, and extremely accurate. My only complaint is that I purchased one in late December and it still didn’t come with the most up to date software. To get that I would need to spend another $85 US. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still accurate, but with all of the new construction and new homes being built it leaves some roads off that I wish were there. I used to own a TomTom and that was great as well, but the Nuvi’s are super thin, have expandable memory, and I had mine hard wired into my car so it looks great. You really can’t go wrong here.

I have had mine for two years. Had the old software but went on line and Garmin sent me a new disc with updated map data. Love it. My wife has factory Honda navigation and the NUVI is much nicer to operate.

I’ve owned two Garmin Nuvi’s and have found them to be excellent, though short lived products. For travel to cities such as Boston or D.C, where streets don’t usually follow a “grid” format, the Nuvi’s have been life savers, allowing the traveler to turn onto the correct street at a five street intersection. In addition for navigating “round abouts” the advice was accurate and timely. I’ve had only two problems with my Nuvi, perhaps associated with purchase of an early model. First, it doesn’t accept a charge while operating, a real downside. Second, the battery life seems to deteriorate quickly and that coupled with the lack of ability to charge while using, translate to the requirement to use it, only when it needed. Still, I’ve bought a new Garmin 255, so either I’m a faithful user or a slow learner. I hope this is useful.

I like mine, I have had it for a couple of years but dont use it that often and when I do it is a littke complicated, for some reason I need to change choices like quickiest shortest ect and if I dont then it tales me off the fwy. The operation directions are not very clear for the techno challenged so I am sure that is why. My ex bought a Magellan 2200T ,it doesnt have all the fancy stuff but is alot user friendly !
