    I have had my Tom Tom for a couple of months now. It is very easy to use and requires almost no learning time to get familuar with it’s features.

    For the average user this will meet your needs. I use it often as I do volunteer work and often have to find addresses in sections of the city I am unfamiluar with. I have never had a problem.

    It always directs me to the address and the voice is easy on your ears.

    I shopped around for a while and this little critter had the best screen among all of them. It’s easy and I love it.

    Wife bought me this for Christmas. Easy CD install and downloads of updates. Large and clear screen. Gentle voice commands. Took it on trial trip and went different way than what was programmed. Automatically and quickly recalculated route and got us to the destination. I am very pleased with the TomTom One XL.

    I received the tomtom one xl as a Christmas present and was disappointed that I cannot use it. After spending one hour with a very nice customer service person, it turns out that their software is not compatible with my windows xp professional o/s on my computer. So I cannot download any updates to the tomtom. Also the traffic is not compatible with my Verizon cell phone service. They do not have my home address in their system although mapquest and all the other online maps have had it for 18 months. I was told to use their website address updater and wait 2 to 3 months for them to add my address. This is unacceptable. The user manual is very sketchy and no help when the onscreen menu doesn’t give me what I am trying to do. All in all not what I expected. Will be returning it and doing research on other brands.

    I just upgraded my old Tom Tom to the One XlS. I wasn’t too worried about the mapping software and the useability. I was really happy to see how much slimmer it was as my old one was a block. I would recommend this to anyone. It does exactly what its supposed to do.
