We take a hands-on look at Acer's Aspire S3 laptop which costs less than a comparable Macbook Air but it does sacrifice some to get there.
The Acer Aspire S3 is a solid entry that won’t cause too much of a bite to your wallet. However, it does come with some significant flaws. These flaws include: poor performance-per-dollar, lackluster battery life and limited connectivity. Still, it’s not bad if you don’t want OS X or feel that the MacBook Air price tag of $1,300 is too high.
